Held over the Mother's Day weekend, history comes to life at the
Ballarat Heritage Weekend. In 2012 the event will focus on 'Your
Childhood Memories'. What was Ballarat like in the 1930's, 40's and
upward?
What stories can you bring with you of living and growing up in
Ballarat? Live recordings will be made of those who would like to
share their childhood experiences and adventures.
Many of Ballarat's unique heritage buildings will be open for
public viewing, including the Town Hall, Mechanics' Institute, and
Old Colonists' Club. Many of the open buildings also offer tours
and 'behind the scenes' stories of these magnificent heritage
assets.
