Clunes Booktown

The National Trust Anderson's Mill Weekend


A free event with heritage games, mill tours, and displays and demonstrations by the Ballan District Vintage Machinery and Vehicle Club, Quilters Victoria Inc., Central Goldfields radio group, Collaborative Research Centre in Australian History, Public Records Office and Ballarat Society of Artists.

Murder Mystery Dinner & Show at Kryal Castle


A three-course medieval feast and interactive Murder Mystery adventure. Journey throughout the Castle walls to witness secret rendezvous, question suspects, and uncover clues before the evidence runs cold. Remember, everyone is guilty until proven innocent, and until the killer is discovered, no one is safe, even you. (Age 16+).

The feast includes a glass of mead on arrival (a spiced wine), a soup entrée, platters of roasted meats, potatoes, seasonal vegetables, bread, butter, gravy and condiments for main course and alternate service of chocolate brownie and baked cheese cake with cream for dessert

Creswick Woollen Mills 70th Anniversary


Free entry to the interactive exhibit A Very Fine Yarn (all month). Feed the Alpacas on the viewing deck. Jefferson Smith, his partner Mel & his Cadillac. Jefferson performed a lead up gig Ballarat Beat at the Ballarat & District Trotting Club. He plays a great range of 50's music – 10am-4pm each day. Ballarat Rockers performing dance demonstrations (to be confirmed). Vintage High Tea (all month) at the Mill café available (see menu & photos attached)
