Ballarat is celebrated for having one of the most significant and picturesque cool climate botanical gardens in the world. The Gardens contain a remarkable collection of mature trees and statues.

Come and have a picnic in the 40 hectare historic garden, situated on the western shore of Lake Wendouree, and see this spectacular heritage and recreational resource.

The Ballarat Botanical Gardens will be showcasing the original 1857 plans for the Gardens in the Robert Clark Centre meeting room on Sunday 11 May.
