Old Colonists' Club

Step back in time and experience the private facilities of the historic Old Colonists’ Club. The Old Colonist Association was formed in 1883, to pay tribute to the heroes of Eureka and to assist those less fortunate on the diggings.

The Old Colonists’ Club building was built in 1888 and still houses many of the original furnishings, including chess and card tables, black ballot box, marble honour boards and a service calling system.

For the Ballarat Heritage Weekend only, the Old Colonists’ Club is opening its doors and offering visitors a chance to tour and enjoy this historic building.
